The Manchester based contemporary classical ensemble, Psappha (pronounced ‘Saffa’) have put a call out as part of their Youth Music Support Scheme. They are looking for composers aged between 18 and 21 who are d/Deaf, disabled or neurodivergent.
Psappha say:
“We know that there are young music creators who – for different reasons – face disabling barriers to gaining high-quality composer development opportunities. With support from Youth Music, Psappha has created a new scheme to support four such composers.”
Formed in 1991 by Artistic Director Tim Williams, Psappha specialises in the performance of work by living composers and in music of the 20th and 21st centuries.
This opportunity is open now and you can find out more on Psappha’s website at www.psappha.com/current-opportunities
