UPDATE 29/05/2020: A further exciting update from Tammy Reynolds - she's also been announced as the recipient of the Live Art Development Agency's Katherine Araniello Bursary!
--
We’re delighted to share that DaDaFest-supported artist, Tammy Reynolds, has been selected for Artsadmin’s Bursary Scheme.
With over 200 bursaries having been awarded since 1998, she joins an illustrious line of Live Artists, including disability arts pioneers, Katherine Araniello and Claire Cunningham. She told us she reacted by screaming out validation and relief, scaring the postman, setting the dog off barking next door and making three pieces of art!
To celebrate, here are some of our favourite moments from this artist who has made such fabulous – and memorable – contributions to our events:
DaDaFest Scratch
If you missed Reynolds’ wonderful performances at our Scratch event earlier this year at Unity Theatre, get the low-down here from our advisory group: https://www.dadafest.co.uk/article/advisor-unity-scratch-review
Edward Rushton Lecture
At our annual lecture and discussion event, Reynolds was joined by Jackie Hagan, Erin Pritchard, Nickie-Miles Wildin and Bethany Murray for what turned out to be a fascinating exploration of intersecting identities.
RAW.
Remember when she curated a fabulous line-up for our cabaret event? It was an incredible evening and hard to put into words, but we had a go here: https://www.dadafest.co.uk/article/marshmallows-and-squadgoals
Lockdown livestreams
Looking for more quarantine viewing? Most recently Reynolds has been sharing work via livestream, including in this Homotopia commission from Eat Me and Preach:
From stage to page…
We’ve also enjoyed her writing offstage, whether delivering a workshop for our participants or writing a guest blog for us that you can read here: https://www.dadafest.co.uk/article/young-dadafest-2016-music-review
We can’t wait to see how her work continues to develop with the support of Artsadmin! Follow her on Twitter and Instagram to stay up to date.
