We were delighted to get the opportunity to catch up with author Natalie Denny as she prepared for the release of her first children's publication "Keisha Jones Takes on the World".
In our exclusive interview she let's us know all about the book along with her tips for aspiring writers and her thoughts on representation of d/Deaf and disabled artists in the world of art and creativity.
‘Keisha Jones Takes on the World’ is due for release 3rd August 2023 and is illustrated by Chanté Timothy and published by Little Tiger Books UK.
Brimming with ideas and passion, Keisha’s determined to stamp down injustices and stand up for what she believes…
When Grandpa Joe tells Keisha about Great Aunt Bee, who was a lawyer and an activist, Keisha is determined to follow in her footsteps. Forming the Bee Squad, she enlists her friends KD and Paisley to help put an end to inequality. Soon they have their first cause.
Incensed by the fact that her local pet shop is selling male rabbits for more than female ones, Keisha lobbies the manager who explains that he’s overrun with female rabbits. The cheaper price is just a sales incentive. Uh-uh. It’s time to stand up for rabbits’ rights. But mixing up the bunnies has consequences far beyond those Keisha could have imagined!
A funny and timely new series featuring a strong, brave-hearted girl.
