DaDaFest is launching a new programme of events over the next three years to celebrate the best of disability art in the North West.
DaDaFest Scratch events are an opportunity for developing artists who identify as disabled or D/deaf to showcase their work. Crucially, it’s also a chance for feedback from an audience and the chance to use this experience to inform and influence future work.
DaDaFest is delighted to be returning to Liverpool Philharmonic on 11 July at 6pm, showcasing exciting and expressive music performances by young disabled and D/deaf artists.
DaDaFest Scratch will feature music from the DaDaFest Ensemble and a string quartet from Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Company. Together, they will perform a brand new piece of music composed by Ben Lunn and Carmel Smickersgill.
Local musicians Six for Tennis will be joining the Ensemble to perform new songs and we are delighted that Electric Fire, a unique digital neon-future-funk, hip-hop and house band will be performing music for the second act.
We are also delighted to be working with NYMAZ, a youth music development charity to live stream an exciting afternoon showing of DaDaFest Scratch to schools and children’s hospitals across the UK.
Tickets for the DaDaFest Scratch evening performance are now available to purchase on the Liverpool Philharmonic website.
