Our very first DaDaFest Scratch is fast approaching and in the lead up, we would like to introduce you to some of the talented artists who will be performing at the event.
DaDaFest Ensemble is made up of a group of young musicians that come together on a weekly basis to collaborate and create unique music.
At DaDaFest Scratch, the Ensemble will present a selection of their own music. As well as that, they will perform the premiere of a new composition, called ‘Music for Friends, created by Ben Lunn and Carmel Smickersgill.
Here’s the DaDaFest Ensemble line-up for Scratch and what each musician enjoys most about being part of the Ensemble.
Tyler (guitar and drums) “Playing the drums.”
Molly (bass guitar) “I just like to play music.”
Callum (piano and guitar) “It gives me something to do.”
Ruthie (Guitar, vocals, ukulele and clarion) “Everything!”
Zac (Drums, singing and guitar) “Drumming and singing.”
Josh (Guitar, drums, vocals and piano) “It’s terrific. We all play together and we don’t want to fight you and music is relaxing and I like helping everyone with new songs.”
Luke (Vocals, drums and piano) “Making new music and new friends.”
Kyle (Drums) “The chance to meet new friends Getting the opportunity to play the drums.”
To give you a bit of an insight into what makes each musician tick, we’ve created a Spotify playlist of music that inspires them.
If you use the SoundHound app, you can access the lyrics of all the songs on the playlist and listen along with the music!
DaDaFest Scratch is happening on 11 July at Liverpool Philharmonic and you can buy tickets here.
