This International Women's Day DaDa Fellow Porcelain Delanay is set to #InspireInclusion with her new show.
DaDa presented Porcelain's show 'Toilet Paper Diaries' at Unity Thetre Liverpool in November 2023 as part of our winter programme, and today it premieres online for the first time to celebrate International Women's Day 2024.
The IWD campaign #InspireInclusion asks us to imagine "A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that's diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated".
Exploring her journey as a disabled woman battling endometriosis and medical gaslighting, Porcelain's thought provoking show shares a moving and amusing take on the reality for marginalised women experiencing anything but inspiring inclusion.
Porcelain will be taking over DaDa's instagram on 8th March to chat about the show, answer questions and explore the topic of #InspireInclusion.

About Toilet Paper Diaries
We meet thirty year old Eloise in a waiting room on a very important day, She’s waiting for something big and doesn’t know how to process it. We jump into her childhood diaries exploring what's brought her to this moment. At nine years old Eloise is a happy child and promising ballerina with no doubt she is going to grow up to be a star. Then her periods start and completely derail her life. She’s thrown face first into a war against gaslighting doctors. They refuse to listen or believe her but she's determined she will keep getting louder until someone hears. Eloise talks openly and bluntly about all things menstruation and menopause. A heartbreaking and hilarious tale which anyone with endometriosis or another condition which has led to medical gaslighting will instantly recognise.
Toilet Paper Diaries has access at the heart of the play and includes embedded creative captions and audio description. BSL interpretation and a touch tour are also offered when the show is performed live, and BSL has been added to the online showing.
