From 27 November to 3 December, DaDaFest International will be coming to you online, showcasing brilliant D/deaf and disabled artists from around the world!
We’re delighted now to let you know what’s in store from our diverse line-up of DaDaFest-commissioned artists and invited guests.
The programme is jam-packed with fab new artworks across a range of artforms, and includes a lot of firsts for DaDaFest: we’ve commissioned a podcast series, a board game, and even a fitness video (albeit with a disability arts twist).
The theme is ‘Translations’, which you’ll see approached in all kinds of ways – Amina Atiq explores what it means to be ‘Yemeni-Scouse’, Hana Madness and Alexis Maxwell’s animation reveals UK-Indonesian differences and commonalities… and elsewhere Dominic G will be sharing his manifesto for a fictional nation of weasels!
Artists featured include Alexandrina Hemsley, Aidan Moesby, Deaf Explorer’s cross-artform collective, and many many more.
Discover the full programme so far here and stay tuned to find out what else it will feature as we'll soon announce artist talks, Q+As and much more:
