In partnership with GRAEAE and Theatre by the Lake, DaDaFest is supporting a rehearsed reading of Adam Fenton's play, 'Tuning In', and you're invited to come along!
Friday 14 May at 7:30pm, sit in on the online rehearsal room for this brand new piece, written and performed by Fenton and directed by DaDaFest joint Artistic Director & CEO, Nickie Miles-Wildin!
Here's some more on what the play is about - make sure not to miss it:
“Some people are deemed as being less loveable because of how they look, or think, or what they do. And there is nothing you can do about it. Sometimes I worry that I’m one of those people.”
After winning a radio competition Reagan finds himself on a mystery date, in a fancy restaurant, and out of his comfort zone. He has a plan to make this night a success but his tics, impulses, and lack of control lead to some awkward interactions and a bloody end.
This is Reagan’s chance to explain himself whilst constantly being interrupted by radio reports, whale songs, and himself. Reagan scrambles to justify his actions as we try to figure out if this twitchy young man is the infamous ‘Alley Slasher’ we keep hearing about.
Full of sharp humour and misdirection, this neuro-diverse theatre show makes us ask ‘When does the search for acceptance become dangerous?’ and ‘Does unconventional really mean undatable?’
