Joshua Henderson is an artist, musician and composer who has been involved with DaDa for over a decade.
Starting out exploring art at the tender age of 5, Joshua later joined the ‘Studio Me’ inclusive arts programme at Blue Room in the Bluecoat to develop his fine art and sculpture work, which often showcase his love of Liverpool landmarks.
Josh’s art has been featured at DaDaFest exhibitions and during lockdown Josh developed a digital project ‘Minecraft Liverpool’ creating landmarks on his favourite gaming platform.

Having started to learn guitar from the age of 9, Josh is a talented musician also playing piano and drums. He was one of the earliest members of DaDa’s Young Ensemble project, working with producers and musicians to develop and perform original compositions.
Through this project Josh’s talent and musical ambition shone, and in 2021 DaDa supported Josh to apply for funding from Youth Music to record his first solo album ‘Songs of Liverpool for Friends’. Josh worked with the DaDa team through our artist development programme to create, rehearse and record his debut tracks.
Josh’s album can be streamed on spotify or apply music where you can enjoy songs like ‘This is Anfield,’ inspired by Josh’s lifelong love of LFC, ‘Minecraft, Liverpool, ’ a more gentle track inspired by Josh’s favourite game, and ‘Bluecoat,’ which Josh says is one of his favourite places to be.
The artwork for the album was developed with support from Blue Room and features some of Josh’s favourite Liverpool landmarks.
