Last month we issued a call out for participants in a new dance project from BlackFest which DaDaFest is delighted to be supporting.
Sessions have now commenced, so here’s a little update on how it’s going!
The facilitator running the sessions was confirmed as none other than Nathan Geering, a multidisciplinary dance artist and Artistic Director of Rationale Arts.
Find out more about Nathan in the video below:
With Nathan’s guidance, the participants have now begun learning many elements of hip-hop performance. Techniques covered so far include beatboxing and dance moves, and there’s plenty more to come.
The project will culminate in a sharing at Unity Theatre later this year, so stay tuned to hear more and make sure you’re following BlackFest on social media for updates on this and their many other fab projects.
