In 2001, we presented the first DaDaFest International. This has been a part of our heritage and continues today to be an amazing platform to showcase the work of disabled artists. As DaDa turns 40 we invite you to our birthday party and launch of DDFI40 coming to you in March 2025.
Join DaDa as we launch DaDaFest International 40 ‘Rage: A Quiet Riot!’ at The unity Theatre on 29th November.
This event will preview some of the exceptional disabled artists who will showcase their work as part of DaDa’s 40th anniversary festival in March 2025, and we will hear from organisations, funders and supporters who are making the festival happen.
After consulting with artists, DaDa heard loud and clear that our community feel that, while some progress has been made, too many decisions are still made without involving disabled people. This has left disabled artists and disabled communities raging that the gaps in society are widening and we are still so far from equity and representation at all levels in art, culture and heritage.
At this event we launch our 2025 theme ‘Rage’, so come and join us for a quiet riot of creativity and culture.
Featuring contributions from:
Amina Atiq, Dora Colquhoun, Faith Bebbington, Janet Price, Zack Mennell, Matt Allen and much more.
