About this session
DaDa welcome theatre practitioner and educator Laurie Owen to share expertise on developing a solo show.
What will be covered
Ever wanted to take up space, and share something meaningful with an audience? This workshop is all about organising your ideas into something that roughly resembles a solo show. Laurie will help you figure out what you really want to write about, how to get that down in a form that makes sense to you, and how to start putting that stuff on stage.
The workshop will also cover making a rehearsal schedule that fits with your physical capacity, and an alternative way of organising theatrical material, known as 'scoring', so that you can make theatre in the way that works for you, not anybody else.
The workshop will be a mixture of listening and group discussion. We will explore FAQ's relating to creating a solo show.
