Whether you're an emerging artist looking for advice, established and wanting to try something new, or just interested in expanding your horizons and kickstarting creativity in your life, then come along to a free workshop and ignite that creative spark.
About this session
Arts Council England champions, develops and invests in artistic and cultural experiences to enrich people’s lives. It supports a range of activities across the arts, museums and libraries - from theatre to digital art - reading to dance, music to literature, and crafts to collections.
Applying for funding from the Arts Council can be hugely beneficial for getting your creative project off the ground, but the application process can feel daunting.
Join our expert facilitator Lotty Holder to gain a clearer understanding of the processes behind applying and how to put forward your project in a way funders can understand.
What will be covered
The workshop will be a mixture of listening and group discussion. Together we will put a practice 'project' together to answer some draft questions which will hopefully show that it's not as daunting as it seems.
Through the session we will explore:
- What Arts Council Funding is and the types of funding you can apply for
- The Lets Create Strategy
- Financial principals
- Ways to tackle the form with some exercises and example questions
- Provision you can access to make applying more accessible for you
- Other options for funding work
- Q&A
