Owen Lowery is a highly respected poet, performer, academic, and reviewer. His two acclaimed collections published by Carcanet press, Otherwise Unchanged (2012), and Rego Retold (2015) have been critically acclaimed. Owen is famed for integrating his ventilator into his performances.
Focusing on the theme of “escape”, Owen’s performance begins with poems about the places he’s had to escape from, and gradually moves on to those that mean the world to us – the ones that we want to escape to. Owen will round off the evening with works focusing on his personal life – his marriage, family relationships and interests.
