What is your role at DaDa?
I’m Digital Producer at DaDa.
What does that mean?
I organise and facilitate digital events for our artists and audiences. This includes livestreams of in-person performances, workshops and lectures delivered over Zoom, digital access, and helping the artists we support with any digital art or performance commissions they have with us.
Tell us a bit about your Background
Before working with DaDa I was a theatre director and producer, which I still work as, as well as working as an occasional musician, magician, and drag performer. Complimentary to my artistic practice, I also have an academic background, with a BA and MSc in Experimental Psychology and a PhD in Digital Economy, or the value of personal data in our daily lives.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of my work at DaDa I run my own theatre company, called Chronic Insanity, which stages work in traditional found and digital spaces with a focus on accessibility, affordability, sustainability, and inclusivity. We also act as a digital consultancy for arts and culture organisations, which is how I first started working for DaDa. In my free time, I love cooking, going to the cinema, and making weird little digital art projects.
Contact me if...
Contact me if you’d like to find out more about digital art and culture, especially from an accessibility point of view. Also feel free to get in touch if you want to invite me to any digital art or performance that you’d like DaDa to attend.
