What do you do with DaDa
My role at DaDa is a freelance Producer and Production Manager for DaDa fest.
My every day is managing and collaborating on our fantastic events. I was most recently working on Toilet Paper Diaries and DaDa Cabaret held at Unity Theatre and The Rushton Lecture at The Museum of Liverpool. Generally, I would be looking at the logistics of events and meeting with artists and discussing their work and how we can bring it to life.
Tell us a bit about your background
Officially my background is in Theatre. I hold a bachelors in Drama from Edge Hill University and A Master in Contemporary Performance Practice from Salford University. But I've worked in many different aspects of the arts industry as a Performer, Director, Movement Director, Stage Manager, Facilitator and much more.
Previously before working for DaDa I had worked with many different Welsh community organisations such as Dawns I bawb which delivered community dance session across North Wales. Conwy Monkeys Climbing at Boathouse Climbing Centre which was a climbing club for children with additional needs and Adferiad Recovery which provides support for those with Alcohol and Substance misuse and prevention schemes for schools across North Wales.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of DaDa I regularly perform all over the UK. You might catch me working as a Magician Assistant, or in a Pantomime or maybe you might see me on Stilt-walking!
