What is your role at DaDa?
I am Executive Producer
What does that mean?
I work behind the scenes to support our team, artists and projects.
Tell us a bit about your background
I was first involved with DaDa as an artist during DaDaFest. I trained as a video editor and went to film school in Cuba where I produced, directed and edited a documentary about her travels and experience in La Habana. The film went on to win awards and was shown internationally in film festivals.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I am a photographer, filmmaker and performer which has seen me act and do stand-up/sit-down comedy.
My work has been shown at HOME Manchester (a centre for international contemporary art), Disability Arts Online and has been part of a British Council conference in Hong Kong looking at the arts and its importance for, and impact on three groups: old, young, and disabled people.
Alongside my work with DaDa I sit on the board of the Manchester International Festival.
