Liverpool Philharmonic is one of the UK’s most forward-looking music organisations. Liverpool Philharmonic Hall is a Grade II listed venue on Liverpool's Hope Street. They promote a wide range of contemporary rock, pop, folk, roots, jazz and blues concerts and music projects, in addition to festivals and comedy. Opened in 1939, the 1,790 seat Art Deco concert hall also regularly transforms into a cinema. A smaller space upstairs, the Rodewald Suite, provides a cabaret style venue.
As well as the world class Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, their programme of classical music activity includes the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Choir, the chamber music series and the contemporary group Ensemble 10/10. The extremely active Learning department has been working with schools and the community through its orchestral programme since the 1940's. They offer a range of inspirational opportunities to get involved in live music-making of the highest quality for thousands of people every year, and learning events for all ages from 3 years to adults.
