The Brindley is the main centre for arts and entertainment for the borough of Halton which covers the twin towns of Runcorn and Widnes on either side of the River Mersey.
The Brindley was opened in Runcorn in 2004 by Halton Borough Council. It is a multi purpose, state-of-the-art Theatre and Arts Centre. It has a 420 seat Theatre, 108 seats Studio venue, Gallery, Workshops Spaces and Terrace Café overlooking the Bridgewater Canal. It has won seven major awards including 'Best Arts Project in the UK' at the 2007 National Lottery Awards and 'Best Performance Venue' at the 2008 Mersey Partnership Tourism Awards.

Access at The Brindley
There is automatic front door access into the building and a number of wheelchair spaces in the auditorium. Please inform the Box Office of your requirements when booking. There are low level counters at the Box Office, Bar & Café. There is lift access to the first floor and wheelchair access and toilet facilities accessible on the ground floor.There two designated accessible toilets situated on the ground floor. A family friendly cubicle with changing facilities is located in both the female and male toilets. Free accessible parking spaces in front of the Brindley. An infra red transmission system is installed in both the Studio and Theatre. Please contact the Box Office to reserve a headset. Please ask Box Office for details of our captioned performances.
